After a hard day’s work, who could resist a short attempt at humour?
So after all the hype about jules leaving to down under , it suddenly dawned upon us that our foul mouthed friend is indeed going to leave us. So we will be scattered all over the globe, literally. The cool people being in , well, England, and the rest in the land of Wallabies and Kangaroos - where if i remember correctly, they celebrate their christmas in blardy june/july.
On the topic of the few of us becoming such nice and active “global citizens” , i guess it is timely to reflect on how we as Singaporeans portray our own country. Though we may be known for our efficiency, especially our government’s; our clean and green streets; shopping ( though i must admit that the GSS pales in comparison with the boxing day sales in London, totaly ownage man), how are we as individuals potraying ourselves as individuals?
I am definitely proud to be Singaporean, though there are the usual gripes and all, but hey, nothing beats touching down at Changi Airport after 1 year in London.
One of the more pertinent issues is regarding the almost prevalent Pinkerton Syndrome amongst Singaporeans. I seriously think people who are “famous” or who regards themselves as “famous” should take up an active role of not being associated with such derogatory behavior.
This is a video of Singapore’s “most famous” blogger Xiaxue: totally insensitve and totally brainless. Come on, the guy you are talking to is a Plastic Surgeon, a professional who contributes to society. Maybe the one who did your nosejob should have replaced your nose with a vagina. haha… talk about CB Bin…
back to reflections
So if we all come together, we know what to do, we come together to say we love you
Hello!
I have been back to the sunny island for about a month now, seriously, time passes so damned fast when you are back. Have pretty much gotten used to the heat and the humidity already, the latter is damned bad; i tried running my usual 6km route and i am almost dying at the halfway mark from the sheer inability of my sweat to evaporate.
Mel: shut up, i am not unfit, and no, you are not floating like my grandma
hahaha she doesn’t float!!
School attachment has been swell, the people have been absolutely wonderful to be with, alot of things have been learnt so far, alot of “restricted” things that i can’t say out here in the internet, if not i would have to kill you. it is really super weird to be back in school once again with a different role. After all, we all have gone throught the stage of being a student, myself: being an external traininer but never as a proper teacher, so the events of the last few weeks or so have been surreal to say the least.
Flea has moved out of her Le 8 place and is in campus now, hmm, i would miss campus life, so all the best to you flea! since you are on campus, do remember to play hard, meet new people but always remember to study! hahaha…. don’t be like certain medics in Ramsay hall who din’t study and are currently back in london doing their resit wahaha. Blardy hell, this people party so much and they would form the cream of our medical team next time. WTF.
What have i been doing? well, besides the school attachment, that sees me getting so tired and drained at the end of the day, sleeping and eating, there’s the Oasis class that i have to help out with. Damned it man, really no time to do anything sigh.
It’s about one month since the last camp; and the kids haven”t really changed much; sigh.
Alright, so much for the sterile post
